I’m a retired attorney with over forty(40) years professional and business experience, before and after my active practice of law, including extensive legal experience in a wide variety of court and regulatory agency cases at the federal, state and local level over the course of three(3) decades. My clientele included persons and business entities ranging from the ‘average Joe” to Fortune 500 (and even Fortune 100) companies. In addition to my legal experience, I've worked in construction management and various executive level functions. Suffice it to say that I’m familiar with just about any type of personal or business legal case or operational situation that might arise.

Whether you are representing yourself in a court matter, or want to save money by getting your case properly prepared before engaging an attorney (so as to reduce what that attorney might charge you), or need help with your business operations, I’m more than qualified to give you very high-quality assistance at a fraction of what a typical attorney or lawyer, or even business consultant, would probably charge you.

To be fair, it costs a bloody bundle of money to run a law practice, as I know all too painfully well. With the average hourly cost of running a practice being so high, a lawyer might need to charge close to $200 an hour just to have the same income as some counter-person at a fast food joint.

I’ve eliminated almost all overhead and do my work at home, online, at business client locations, and at many of the law libraries (with nationwide legal materials) in the metro DC and nearby areas.

That enables me to work for you for a lot less, while providing you the same quantity (perhaps even more) and quality (perhaps even higher) of service as you’ll find in the general legal services market in the relevant geographic area.

__ coaching you throughout the course of the litigation (not appearing with you in court, and not having my name on any court papers) (don’t worry about going to court on your own – almost all issues and cases are decided based on the papers filed, without any need for a courtroom hearing – it all depends on how well researched and written and how thorough your court papers are, and IF
the need for a hearing and an attorney appearance rises, I’ll help guide you in finding the right lawyer to take over the case)
__ other behind-the scenes work that may become necessary

CLASS ACTION, MASS TORT, AND SETTLEMENT/TRUST DISTRIBUTIONS

__ class action case investigation, research, organization, document prep, etc., to help whichever law firm you choose (one with the financial resources to actually litigate it)
__ class action and trust distributions
NOTE: My lawyer family and I litigated major class actions in New York, Maryland, Minnesota and elsewhere, and did all the litigation work to generate each settlement or trust. Then all the lawyers who did absolutely nothing to generate that settlement or trust (including the typical firms
that advertise on TV, radio and Internet) charged people in the 30%-40% range just for writing to us to instruct us to distribute their clients’ money to them. So those lawyers, for maybe an hour of total lawyer-clerk-paralegal-secretary time, gouged that huge percentage as if they had actually handled the case all along and earned that high a fee. If the individual’s settlement amount is only a few hundred bucks, or even a thousand, that may be fair, but if the individual’s settlement amount is, for example, $50,000, should any lawyer get $15K-20K for just an hour of time (even if most of the so-called “work” is done by the clerk, paralegal or secretary)?

So whether it’s the water at Camp Lejeune, Paralax, weed killer, baby formula, stock or investment fraud, or any other class action settlement or trust (established by regulatory agency,
legislature or court) for which you may be a beneficiary entitled to a share, contact me before you get taken by those firms. My fee would be a tiny fraction of what they would charge, and proportionate to my actual time and efforts on your behalf.

REAL ESTATE MATTERS
(residential, commercial, investment, rental or other properties, in DC, all 50 states, the U.S. territories, and even some foreign countries)
__ purchase or sale of properties, refinancing, mortgage or title issues
(3+ years experience working directly in-house with title closing/settlement firms)
__ acquisition of tax lien certificates (paying 12% to 36% per year) and management and collections of those liens (nationwide coverage managed from my metro DC area location)
__ acquisition of distressed property (mortgage foreclosures, tax lien certificate n (lawsuits to foreclose the property owner’s right of redemption, tax deed acquisition, land bank acquisitions, etc.) in all 50 states, DC and territories)

CONSTRUCTION MATTERS (3+ years in-house experience with a GC and with 2 trade subs)

to reduce the fees that the law firm you may hire would have to charge you)

Just so we’re clear. I will not be your attorney or lawyer in any of these matters, but strictly a consultant, adviser, ghost writer and behind-the-scenes coach. There will not be any attorney-client relationship (nor the sky-high fees that go with such a relationship). I will not appear in any court case, nor will you have any permission to put my name on any papers or otherwise use my name in any way. You will save a ton of money, but my services are not free, just entirely reasonable
given my extensive and diverse education, knowledge, experience, abilities and superior work ethic.
