Aphogee is a protein treatment that protects the outside of the hair (protects hair from wear and tear & supports moisture).
Olaplex is a bond treatment for the inner layers of the hair (supports the hair structure from severe damage deep within the hair cuticle & cortex).
It's good to have both, but Aphogee will help retain length better than Olaplex. Protein is like water 💧 for the hair, which is necessary to put back in the hair, more so than repairing the bonds of the hair.

For processed black hair I would say Aphogee or protein in general is more effective than Olaplex. We tend to neglect protein while using bond building products.

You have to remember that skin, eyes, and hair tell you where your health is! Lacking Iron, B vitamins, vit E, and micronutrients. It's what you consume that determines your hair's strength and health, not just what you put on it.

I love this one. I haven't used it in a while, but it used to be a regular part of my routine. I was getting the olaplex service at the salon, so I didn't feel the need to use this, but I switched to keratin treatments, so I'm adding this back into my routine. Love seeing you, girl. 💜

First of all let me tell you that I looooove your energy 😍🤩 you are hilarious!
Now, this product is a real game changer, my hair loves it. I’ve been using it for a few weeks because of severe breakage and I can already see my hair recovering and retainning length🥳. I leave it for 15-20 min then rinse and apply my moisturizing DC. It leaves my hair so soft and strong. Muuuuuch less breakage. I need to restock it for life 😂

I hadnt used a protein treatment in 10 years because my high porosity wavy curly hair dries out easily from them snd kertain hesvy products which i od'd on early days when everyone was obsessed thinking it would magically make all curls frizz free and perfect lol. Have stuck to moisture and gentlr products for years, no heat and doing all right yet was baffled my ends always looks crazy and uneven wave one piece curl another ringlet another. Made nonsense why i couldnt get my curls to be more uniform and bounce back like they werr pre straightening years especially not using heat for so long. A friend reminded me about Aphogee which i used in my teens and tried the 2 step and dispise it lmao. I wish i remembered this Reconstructor version because the other liquid is torure on earth no matter how you use it even in a spray bottle sticky and stinging rverything and mess all over my bathroom no matter how precise. Did it 2x for last 2 months and yes curls have bounced back a bit with a few stray wavy pieces still among the tighter curls but much better. Never eould have thought it was oer lack of protein especially when you dont damage or color your hair. Switching to this mask version asap to avoid the mess and have some sanity. How often do you recommend using it and do you at all recommend the Green Tea Leavein version. I imagine one or the other to not have too much? I also used to use bond treatments as a protrkn alternstive thinking they wouldnt be as drying all these years. They werrnt but never helped with my curls bouncing back like for many. Hi Megz, I bought some Aphoogee products and did not realize they all had protein. I bought the reconstructor the leave in and the mousse wrap. I am newly relaxed after 10 years natural and would like to know how I use these without causing protein over load. Thank you.

my relaxed hair is extremely damaged and dry. and im trying to get my relaxed hair back to it's normal state where it was healthy. do you think this is going to help my hair back to being strong and not dry and weak. i just don't want to put this on my hair and it damages it even more than it already is.

Hi ,I am relax my hair is growing crazy but when i braid it you can see the back middle braids little bit shorter than the sides but its growing but not the same rate. Is it because i lay and my back and rest my head on my pillow most times ? My hair is near bra strap but the 3 middle braids when conrow are little bit shorter than the rest. Can you give me any tips please ?
