Kathryn Cecelia Cully April 1, 2010 Grant R. Spaide and Helen C. Spaide March 28, 2009 and April 19, 2009 Grant R. Spaide, 86, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009, at his residence in DeLand, Fla. He was born March 3, 1923, to Oscar and Martha Dietz Spaide in Slocum.

Grant was a Marine Corps cum Township; and Ruth Rinehimer, Amsterdam, N.Y. The memorial service will be held for Grant and Helen on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, Slocum Township, with the Rev. Sandy Kraft, pastor, officiating. POLICE BLOTTER W-B man arrested for child endangerment WILKES-BARRE A man was arrested early Tuesday morning on child endangerment charges for fleeing a home with his 1-year-old daughter and taking her outside in near freezing weather with no jacket, shoes or socks, police said. Joshua Yuhas, 28, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, escape and resisting arrest. Police said he showed up at Catina Nahodil's Academy Street home around 4:20 a.m. and fled the residence on foot with their daughter. Yuhas was released from prison hours earlier and ordered to have no contact with the victim, police said.

Yuhas and the child were later located in Kingston. The girl was unharmed. Yuhas told police he only took the child so Nahodil would "want me back in the house."
