Born. and raised in Everett, he was a resident of Westfield for over 25 years. He was a retired 24-year flight engineer with the Army, from 1942 until his retirement in 1966. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars. "Charlie" was also a former employee of the Westfield Health Dept.

He was a life member, past Commander, past sargeant of arms, assistant baseball coach, volunteer and part-time bartender at the American Legion Post 124, Westfield. He was also a life member at VFW Post 4654, Russell. "Charlie" enjoyed fishing, hunting and legion baseball. He will be sadly missed by his comrades at the "124." Funeral services with military honors were held Dec. 13 in the Mass: Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, with burial following.

Duilio Ciarmatori AGAWAM Duilio Ciarmatori was born in Rome, Italy, on Jan. 1, 1940, and lived there all his life. He died on Nov. 22, at home. He was the son of the late Felice Ciarmatori and the late Iris (Barletta) of Rome, Italy.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Valenti) of Agawam; and daughter, Dina of Agawam. He also leaves behind his brother and his wife, Franco and Silvia; his brother-in law, Emidio Cifani; and several nieces and nephews, all of Rome. He was predeceased by his sister, Ilda Cifani in 1980. He will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law, Yolanda Valenti, his two brothers-in-law and their wives, Joseph and Donna Valenti, and Michael and Mary Grimaldi; and several nieces and nephews, all of Agawam. Lopes AGAWAM Madeline A. Lopes, 74, of the Feeding Hills section, formerly of Deland, passed to join her loving husband Casimir Lopes on Dec. 6. She was the daughter of Louis and Alethabell (Turner) Dagenais, formerly of Springfield. She grew up in Springfield and graduated from Springfield Trade School.

She leaves her loving children, Daniel of Sanford, Steven of Feeding Hills, Debra Stone of Deltona, Randy of Orlando, Janet Hall of Wales, Russel of DeLand, Kieth of Sanford, Glen of Ludlow, and Robert of DeLeon Springs, Fla. She also leaves behind 18 cherished grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Carl Dagenais of Agawam and William Dagenais of Springfield, and a sister, Ellen Moskal of Chicopee. She was predeceased by eight brothers and two sisters. A memorial service was held at St. Cecilia's Church in Wilbraham Dec.
