Hamilton on his 'good day'
It has been a good day, a solid weekend. I have to say a big thank you to the team as they have been training so hard. The strategy and the pitstops were really on point.
Unfortunately I got a really bad start and lost ground to the Ferraris so it was a battle to get back. With a better start... I don’t know if we could have held on to the guys ahead but I don’t think we would have been as far behind.

Disappointed Norris
Norris was understandably disappointed with his slow start which eventually cost him top spot. The McLaren driver said:
I should have won. I got a bad start. As simple as that. The car was incredible today. We were for sure the quickest. I just lost it at the beginning.
Disappointed but a lot of positives. One negative and that kind of ruined everting. I know that.
Apart from that, a good amount of points and thanks to the team because the car amazing.

Excited Norris
Lando Norris' hopes of claiming victory from pole were dashed with five laps to go at the Russian Grand Prix in 2021 but he remains optimistic today.
I'm thinking about the race, the [qualifying] lap was a great lap and I don't think I will come out of a Saturday, pole or not, as I did because it felt that good. I'm excited to get today going and see if we can keep it up.

Lewis Hamilton fininshed third after outqualifying team-mate George Russell and he says Mercedes' return to the front of the grid has been coming. He told Sky Sports:
"It has been a long time coming for us as a team
"For us to be in this position where we get a third and a fourth and are starting to be more consistent in that realm is huge.
